Current Production Status
Dear friends and fellow operators,
Thank you for your continued patience and support. I wanted to provide a quick update on where things stand here at Modern Morse.
Production Status
Modern Morse is actively building and shipping keys. Orders are leaving the shop on a regular basis, and production continues every week.
Every paddle is individually machined, assembled, tested, and inspected by hand. My priority is spending time in the shop building keys, not answering emails about production schedules. This is because that's what gets everyone's order shipped sooner.
Current Lead Time
The current estimated lead time for new orders is 12 weeks or longer.
Orders are shipped in the order they are received, within the practical limits of efficient manufacturing. To keep production moving, I batch similar machining, finishing, and assembly operations together whenever possible. This means an order may occasionally move slightly ahead or behind another, but the overall production queue is maintained fairly.
Individual Order Updates
One of the most common questions I receive is, "When will my order ship?"
Unfortunately, I cannot provide individual shipping estimates or timelines. Every order progresses through machining, finishing, assembly, testing, and quality control at a slightly different pace, making it impossible to predict an accurate completion date.
If your order has not yet shipped, it has not been forgotten. It is in the production queue and will be completed as soon as it reaches the appropriate stage of production.
When your paddle has been built, tested, and is ready to ship, you'll receive an email with either payment instructions (for waitlist reservations) or tracking information (for fully paid orders).
